It's The Only Way They Will Learn

Jim Johnson sent in the following comment in response to the article entitled “Demand Feingold to Release His Divorce Record!” which was posted this past Monday:
I thought you said were not a hypocrite. Why then, if you feel that the Democrats using Jack Ryan's divorce records was irrelevant to the campaign, do you urge the Republicans to do the same for Feingold? If what they did was wrong or irrelevant, why do the same? It seems rather hypocritical to me.
Well John, I hate to be the barer of bad news … well, not when it comes to delivering to Democrats, so I will just come out and say that this not defined as hypocrisy. If the Democrats believe they can change the rules of engagement whenever they feel they do not have an edge in an electoral race and view divorce records now as legitimate campaign tool, we have no logistical choice other then to play by their rules. Then and only then will they see the error of their ways (knowing that their actions may come back to bite them in the ass) and revert to the standard rules of political engagement which were held prior to the Jack Ryan "controversy". True, it is harsh, but honestly it is the only way they will learn.

Thanks once again for your comment.
