Those Poor Trees

The discovery by GOP3.com that eight articles in the recent edition of The Marquette Tribune are in fact Associated Press stories (not a conspiracy theory but rather a careful observation from the conservative weblog) has me questioning why the Tribune has limited its editorial word limit from seven-hundred words to five-hundred and fifty words this year. Is this an attempt to censor students on campus? I can not say for sure but it is a huge inconvenience for me at least to have to re-write an entire editorial written with the specifics of last year’s viewpoints in mind to fit the more limited specifics of this year’s viewpoint editorials. I'll post the unedited version of the editorial here on Thursday morning, the same day in which the edited one is published in the Marquette Tribune.
