PC-ing 9/11 Memorial

Real Clear Politics and Little Green Footballs have pointed out something rather disturbing about the recently proposed memorial for Flight 93 in Pennsylvania. The selected design for the memorial entitled Crescent of Embrace (pay especially close attention to this name because it will play a more significant role later on in the article) bares an eerily close resemblance to one of the most sacred symbols in all of Islam … the Crescent! This seriously has to be some type of sick joke! Is this any way in which to memorialize those who sacrificed their lives so that others may live?!
