AFI List of Top 100 Quotes From U.S. Films

Did anyone else catch AFI's Top 100 Movie Quotes last evening on C-BS? Overall, I agreed with the majority of the quotes which were placed on the list though I certainly disagreed with the placement of a few as well as the exclusion of certain lines which I thought should have been included. Below are my thoughts on the program.

Here are some of the quotes which found their way onto the Top 100 list which I thought should not have been included:

• "My precious," "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers," 2002
• "Open the pod bay doors, HAL," "2001: A Space Odyssey," 1968 [Of all the memorable quotes from this film, they picked this one?]
• "What a dump," "Beyond the Forest," 1949
• "La-dee-da, la-dee-da," "Annie Hall," 1977
• "Plastics," "The Graduate," 1967
• "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!", "Network," 1976
• "Rosebud," "Citizen Kane," 1941 [Personally I think Citizen Kane is too overrated]
