Homecoming - Bring Back the Tradition ... Sort of

Homecoming: Bringing Back the Tradition (minus of course the long defunct campus football program) officially kicks off this evening but given the amount of discussion I have heard about midterm examinations and papers, I do not think it will be all that popular, except perhaps this weekend. I am in agreement with Dan Maciejewski, current MU College Republican chairman and classmate in Biology for Non-Science Majors, when I say that an event like this should not be considered a homecoming when football is entirely absent. At the very least they could have held off the event until one month from now when the men’s basketball team kicked off their inaugural season in the Big East Conference. But this is MUSG we are talking about here. God forbid that they actually put thought and logic into their plans.
